    Also known as "Frizzle Sizzle." Its curly leaves twist like party streamers, and in the right season, it’ll throw up sweet-scented flowers. Bright light and dry feet apparently, but mine sit outdoors and refuse to die.

    A ribbed columnar from another world. Chartreuse skin, dark spines (especially the jet black new growth), and bold presence. Not technically a cactus, but it sure plays the part. Grows tall and tolerates being mistreated.

    Spiny, sculptural, and borderline alien with its colours. Thrives on neglect and sharp light. Soft spines, makes a wicked noise when you shake a big cluster. Pretty tactile if touch if you have a of the ‘tism!
